The treatment itself is fast and causes minimal discomfort, requiring no general anesthesia. ProNox (Nitrous Oxide) is available for patients upon request to ease anxiety and enhance comfort. Due to the fact that vaginal rejuvenation with the diVA laser is non-invasive, the procedure requires little to no downtime. Patients are permitted to return to their daily routine immediately, with minimal or no discharge, spotting or discomfort. However, patients should refrain from sexual intercourse for at least 48 hours after the treatment. If the procedure is more progressive, patients may be advised to wait longer. Generally speaking, a complete diVa procedure is a series of three treatments, scheduled four to six weeks apart, followed by annual checkups and maintenance.
