There is no preparation with VOLUMA treatments.
VOLUMA is injected into the cheeks or wrinkles and fine lines to add volume and smooth the skin. Since VOLUMA contains lidocaine, there is no pain or discomfort at the injection site. Dr. Core is very skilled at knowing how to inject the gel filler so that the results are natural looking. He completes the treatment in about 30 minutes.
There is no recovery or downtime for our Birmingham VOLUMA patients, so they can go back to work or your normal routine immediately following the treatment. If you have any swelling or redness, it is gone within a day or so.
The results are noticeable following your appointment but increase over time as the HA does its work to increase moisture in the skin. When using VOLUMA, you can expect the results to last about two years. Continued maintenance treatments can extend the results far longer.
